Tracker Update Log 1.9

Keeping Pace with Global Compliance

As the digital asset landscape matures, the bridge between DeFi and traditional finance relies heavily on clear, enforceable stablecoin regulation. At STRIDE, we believe that transparency is the key to adoption.

This week, we are rolling out Update Log 1.9 for our Stablecoin Regulation Tracker. This update focuses on broadening our database of licensed issuers and refining the granularity of country-specific regulatory statuses.

Update Highlights

Here is what has changed in the tracker this week:

1. Country Regulation Status Updates

We have revised the regulatory status for several jurisdictions to reflect recent legislative movements. As global frameworks shift from "proposals" to "enacted law," accurate status indicators are vital for builders and investors alike.

  • Look for updated status indicators in the 'Global Map' view.
  • Refined categorization for jurisdictions currently in 'Consultation' phases.

2. Regulation Updates

We have patched the database with the latest texts and amendments from major financial authorities. This ensures that when you click on a specific jurisdiction, you are reading the most current set of rules governing stablecoin issuance and usage.

3. Stablecoins & Issuers Added

The stablecoin market is not a monopoly; it is a diverse ecosystem. We have added new entries to our tracker to cover emerging fiat-backed and decentralized options.

  • New Assets: Added coverage for emerging regional stablecoins.
  • Issuers: Profiles added for regulated issuers entering the market.

4. Licenses Added

Regulatory clarity often comes in the form of licensure. We have updated our "Licenses" sections to track which issuers have successfully secured approvals from financial watchdogs.

  • Added recent VASP and e-money institution license grants.
  • Cross-referenced issuer licenses against local regulator databases for accuracy.

Why This Matters

For users in the ecosystem and beyond, understanding where a stablecoin is regulated and who issues it is no longer optional, and is a component of basic due diligence. Update 1.9 ensures the STRIDE community has access to the highest quality data available.
